Each of our centres are led by a Fully Qualified, Experienced Director who oversees the day to day operation of the centre and supports the staff and families. Our Directors are carefully selected based on their industry experience and qualifications, who also demonstrate exceptional communication and organisational skills. Nicholas Campbell

Active Kids Owner | Approved Provider

Our Owner, Nicholas Campbell, is a Physiotherapist with a passion for children and their wellbeing. Nick has many years of experience in the health industry and is also the father of 4 boys. He has a personal understanding of the importance quality education and care plays in the development of a child during their early years. He is sensitive to the growing pressures and expectations placed on modern families and works tirelessly to ensure that your family’s transition to Active Kids is seamless, and that each child’s experience at our centre prepares them with the knowledge and skills for their personal journey through life.

Amy Bodel

Operations Manager

Amy oversees the global operation of all our centres and assists Centre Managers, Educators, Support Staff and Families in their time at Active Kids.

Amy collaborates with our Approved provider, centre staff, families, communities, and our regulatory authority to maintain streamlined processes that ensure a high standard of compliance and established practice across our services.

Amy has dedicated herself to the growth of Active Kids since it was established in 2009 and she continues to uphold our vision and standard for children and families in our communities today.

Amy is a Mother, a passionate Early Childhood professional and a strong advocate for the ECEC sector. She holds a Diploma in Early Childhood, and has countless years of experience as a, Director, Practice Consultant and Snr. Manager in the Early Childhood industry.

Tabitha Swingler

Area Manager

My name is Tabitha Swingler and I have been working in the early childhood industry for the past 18 years.

I hold my Advanced Diploma of Children Services and a certificate IV in training and assessment.

I’m very passionate about Early Childhood Education and Care and believe the early years are extremely important as they set the foundations for children’s ongoing learning and development.

As a Support Manager, my role is to support my fellow Managers, Educators, and our families through their early learning journey, and work with our communities to establish secure connections as we work together towards continual improvement.

Mynette

Area Manager

Hi, I’m Mynette, Area Manager for Active Kids. With over 20 years of experience in Early Childhood Education and Care, I remain committed to continuous growth, strong leadership, and achieving excellence across every service I support.

In my role, I mentor and guide Centre Directors to ensure each service upholds the highest standards in safety, quality, and compliance, always prioritising the rights, wellbeing, and best interests of every child enrolled at Active Kids. I am deeply committed to building capable leaders and strong educator teams who create environments where children and families feel safe, valued, and supported.

As a proud Wiradjuri Woman, I believe in honouring and embedding the diverse cultures of our families to foster a genuine sense of belonging within our services and the wider Greenbank community.

I am also a QLD Children’s Rights Ambassador, advocating for children’s voices to be heard and respected. This responsibility strengthens my leadership approach, ensuring children’s rights remain central to decision-making, practice, and service culture across all centres I support.

Ursula Berry

Program and Practice Manager

In my role as PPM I work with our Educators providing support, advice and collaboration of ideas and strategies, to provide the best possible care and learning opportunities for the children in our services. As a qualified trainer/assessor, I also conduct our company’s in-service training sessions as required. I strive to motivate educators, support them to develop their skills and help them understand how important their job is in the development of young children. My ultimate goal is to ensure quality care is provided for all children in our centres where they can thrive, learn and grow, while enjoying the fun that is inherent in the early years of life.

I am a dedicated Early Childhood Teacher (ECT), Educational Leader, and Program & Practice Manager passionate about supporting children, educators, and families to thrive. With a strong commitment to high-quality early childhood education, I mentor and coach educators, support emerging teachers, and promote reflective practice to strengthen outcomes for children. My passion for Bush Kindy and nature-based learning inspires meaningful, child-led experiences that foster curiosity, resilience, and a lifelong love of learning. I believe in building strong relationships, empowering teams, and creating inclusive, engaging learning environments where every child and educator can flourish.
